This fun bow garland is inspired by everything girly! I’ve seen a lot of bows in various fashion magazines and catalogs recently. I’ve toyed around with creating a bow garland in the past, but didn’t use the right kind of paper! This garland is made of crepe paper, unlike most of the garlands I make (those are usually card stock or tissue paper). These vibrant hues have me excited for spring celebrations. Follow the step by step guide below to create this gorgeous bow garland. Oh, and don’t mind my fake cake.
Crepe Bow Garland
Supplies: Heavy Crepe Paper Rolls, Glue Gun, Twine
Directions:
Step 1: Cut 8 inch strip from Heavy Crepe Roll
Step 2:Cut 1 inch strip from bottom of 8 inch panel *Set 1 inch strip aside
Step 3: Fold sides of panel in toward center making along folder panel.
Step 4: Fold ends of panel toward middle forming your bow shape.
Step 5: Pinch bow making fancy creases
Step 6: Using 1 inch strip wrap bow to secure folds.
Step 7: Glue strip to secure.

what did you use for hanging the bows and where are are they from? (the gold part that you attached to the twine)

Hi Mary! The gold loops are pieces of the same twine used to hang the garland. I cut about 2 inch pieces and glued them on the back with a dab of hot glue.

Yay! You’ll have to let me know how they work out. These would also be super cute as a smaller version too.

Love this idea!!! I’m soo using it for my birthday in a couple days! Do you think it will work with normal tissue paper?

Thank you, Nina! Tissue paper could work, but you might want to double or triple the layers so it’s a tad sturdier. Be sure to share pictures if you end up making it!
