As April creeps in, we’re preparing ourselves for many weekends spent indoors. These rainy days can be a major party buzz-kill, especially when you’ve planned a fabulous day to be spent outdoors and are scrambling for plan B. When the pool lounging is cancelled, I like to use the time to try a new recipe or craft. To Pinterest we go! With lots of fun donut recipes, I was inspired to create my own. I really loved this recipe here, but put my own spin on these Strawberry Donuts.
How To Make Strawberry Donuts
1 Cup Flour
6 Tablespoons Organic Sugar
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
4 Tablespoons Whole Fat Sour Cream
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 Tablespoon melted Coconut Oil
In a large mixing bowl combine dry ingredients.
In another mixing bowl combine wet ingredients.
Mix both wet & dry, then spoon into lightly greased donut pan.
Bake donuts for 15 minutes at 325 degrees.
For Strawberry Glaze:
In a food processor or blender add 3-4 large strawberries & 2 cups of confectioners sugar. Transfer the glaze to a wide bowl. Once donuts have cooled, dip the donuts in the glaze. Repeat for an extra sugary treat!
