It’s all about leather & studding around this week.
Leather & studs have been a key element of fashion for years, but I haven’t seen it brought into the party arena yet. Today I thought I’d take the leather and make it a tad more feminine by forging the leather pieces into fringe & bows. While this was an idea intended as an alternative Halloween party, I’m thinking these embellishments might become a permanent fixture in all of my floral arrangements. The fringe & bow can be made out of any type of fabric – we just chose the faux leather this time.
Leather Floral Embellishment DIY
Step 1: Gather supplies – 3 x 7 ” strips of leather.
Step 2 : Cut 1/2 wide fringe or pinch center to form bow.
Ste 3 : Glue to wooden dowel.

When I saw the picture above of the red flowers in the black vase, I assumed that the flowers were made from leather, so I clicked the link to receive the “tutorial” on how to make these beautiful flowers. Needless to say, I was disappointed when I realised that the tutorial was for making the crappy little black-tassel-thing-on-a-stick and the equally shit black-bow-on-a-stick. A five year old would be able to make these without the need for a tutorial.
