Hosting holiday parties can be super stressful and I wanted to share some of my personal tips for hosting a seamless, stress free soiree.

Use Simple Garlands – There is nothing I love more than lots of garlands, but sometimes our schedule doesn’t allow for crafting or our budgets can’t accommodate the garlands of our dreams. Make or purchase 1-2 garlands and hang them where guests are sure to spot them.
Serve fun drinks for the designated driver – I talk a lot about cocktails, but it’s really important to make sure your designated drivers are considered when you make your beverage selections too. Set up a full display of fun waters, sodas and juices. Add fun straws so guests whom aren’t drinking alcohol can still enjoy a tasty beverage.
Serve snacks on coffee table books – I like to make snacks readily available for guests, so that they aren’t searching for the food table. To spice up your display, arrange your coffee table books so that they create a tiered serving rack.
Add fruit to champagne – When it comes to serving cocktails for a large party of guests, I say go simple. Your cocktails can be as simple as just adding fruit to chilled champagne. This has a great visual impact & tastes great. You can even put the choice of fruit in the hands of your guests by setting up a DIY fruit & champagne bar.
Fully stock the W.C. – Okay, so this is something we don’t chat about too much. Make sure your water closet is fully stocked. There is nothing more embarrassing ( for the hostess & the guest ) than having to ask for the tp. Aside from the ego blow, you as the hostess should be able to enjoy the party too.
Bonus here – I picked up this cottonelle from Target & they have a great deal right now. Buy Cottonelle Triple Roll 12 pack or larger and get a FREE box of Kleenex, Grab the coupon here , while supplies last . (RevTrax system will only let you click on this coupon twice per IP address so do not click on it till you are ready to print please. )
Create a killer playlist – A playlist is really important to me. The music you choose to play totally sets the mood for the evening. Think about how you want your party to be, relaxed & subdued or high energy & dancey. Then choose your playlist accordingly. I tend to use spotify, because I can create a playlist & play from my ipad, it’s super convenient.
