It is probably no surprise that football isn’t my cup of tea, but I do enjoy hosting a good ‘ol shindig for our friends to enjoy the impending game.

Inevitably with football, comes beer and while I really do love good beer, a lot of my lady friends aren’t a fan ( although, I’m working on bringing them over to the dark side ).  I wanted to mix up a yummy beer cocktail that would please their taste buds and since it’s strawberry season here in FL it was the perfect ingredient to mix.

Strawberry Beer Cocktail

Start by adding 8-10 chopped strawberries to a bowl, top with 3 tablespoons of sugar. Mix thoroughly & let sit for an hour or so. When the ladies arrive add a spoonful of the sweetened strawberries to a pint glass and top with a wheat beer, then garnish with a strawberry.
