We were excited to provide one of our custom-color tassel garlands for this wonderful baby shower created by Talia of Luxe Event Design. We love the decor she put together. Here are more details about the party as told by Talia.

In mid-March on a warm Tuesday evening, I had the pleasure of styling a dessert table for a small shower for the daughter of a former colleague of mine. This second shower was held for a few close friends and coworkers of the mommy-to-be. When Lynn (the grandmother) told me what the nursery theme was I started beaming with ideas and I knew just what I needed to do. I just HAD to make Winnie the Pooh SEXY! I know you all think i am crazy…ha ha ha…and I am when it comes to this stuff.

I am not the biggest fan of character themed parties. Therefore if I was going to do this I had to do it in a manner that would exceed client expectations and not stifle my creativity in the process. To do this I enlisted the help of local cake artisans, Dream Day Cakes. When I told Fred that I needed sexy Winnie the Pooh details I am sure he thought I was plum nuts, but after I shared my vision he was more than excited. I wanted to use more than the traditional colors and Carmen from The Flair Exchange helped me do just that by making and oh-so-cute tassel garland that added just the right splash of color and made everything POP! In addition to the lovely desserts by Dream Day, I had designer Oreos made by Sweeties by Kim. Her Oreos tied in the honey bees theme so nicely and was the perfect accent to the table. I used burlap to help bring in a woodsy-outdoors feel. The grand mommy-to-be wanted to add something from her family’s personal collection, so we used her white embroidered tablecloths.

My goal was to create an overall feeling without it being traditional Pooh. I think it came out great! A special thanks to the wonderful vendors!
