Seeing that Halloween is tomorrow, I thought today would be the perfect day to talk about a dark & spooky Halloween cocktail.

This drink is really simple to make and packs a lot of personality with the dark and light layering effect. This drink is traditionally called a Dark N Stormy. I’ve done a little variation on it by adding a sprinkle of nutmeg, so I didn’t feel like I could use the original name. You’ll need goslings black seal rum, ginger beer, nutmeg & a lime for garnishing. Just a little heads up – if you’ve never had a cocktail with ginger beer, it is a tad spicy. I love ginger. so naturally I love this drink.

This drink is visually interesting because the nutmeg will sink right down to where the rum & ginger beer meet creating this dark line in the middle. It’s difficult to see in some of my images, but it’s super spooky!
