On Monday I shared this recipe for a Lemon Shandy, the perfect summer beverage! Your summer soiree wouldn’t be complete without a DIY chalkboard sign to let guests know what your signature drink is. Chalkboard signs are awesome because they can be reused!
Cocktail menus are normally printed and framed ( which I still love ), but they are a one time use product. They usually end up in the trash can.
To customize this DIY chalkboard menu, I picked up a melamine plate from Target ( a steal for $2.99 ). I used chalk board paint, and coated the center with several layers. Once the paint dried, I used a piece of chalk to write the name of the evening’s signature beverage. You could use any plate or tray to create this look. I chose the bright coral color because it coordinates with something fancy that Sarah is sharing tomorrow.
Supplies:
Melamine Plate in coordinated colors
Chalkboard Paint
Chalk
