We really love entertaining outdoors – al fresco style & our picnic table is the perfect location for a little wine tasting set up.
The bench seats aren’t the most comfortable, especially for prolonged sessions. I thought about making cushions form scratch ( even bought foam cushions ) but haven’t gotten around to it, can you relate to that? So when I stumbled across the 2 sided place mats a light bulb went off. Make the cushions from these! It’s so easy, requires NO sewing & takes just a few minutes to make.
If you’ve got a picnic table and entertain with it often, you’ve got to make these! Follow the steps below to see how quickly these can me done.
No-Sew Patio Seat Cushion Tutorial
Supplies : two sided place mats, pillow stuffing, fabric glue
Directions:
Step 1 – using a seam ripper open one corner of the place mat so that you have a 4-5 inch opening.
Step 2 – Fill inside with pillow stuffing. I used several handfuls to make my cushions extra comfy.
Step 3 – Using fabric glue seal the corner.
