While browsing Instagram over the weekend I stumbled across a post from Forever 21 ( yes! I still shop there, don’t judge ) and it said something along the lines of; August is the Sunday of summer. I couldn’t agree more! I adore August, mostly because it’s my birthday month and it’s usually filled with loads of fun things. But, it’s definitely the last call for summer and it’s a bitter sweet month.
Like I said, it’s my birthday month ( for those of you that are nosy, I’ll be turning 29 ) so we’ll be partying it up. August parties usually mean tropical + frozen drinks and you can’t serve one without a festive umbrella. Don’t get me wrong, I love the little cheesy pop up ones you can grab from the dollar store — but making your own is just too rad.
We made these with our most popular color ways in mind ( Bright + Poolside ), but they’d look great in any piña colada or rum runner.
