Entertaining outdoors is one of our favorite things to do and we’re always looking for ideas that make the dinning spread more festive. When I found out there would be an episode of Home Made Simple that featured a few grilling recipes and easy home updates, I set my clock to tune in on Saturday. I knew that it was now or never ( because you know it’s beach season and not too many Saturday mornings will be spent indoors from here on out ).

This was the Home Made Simple episode that has inspired us to step up our grilling game! Chimichurri is a really great way to add flavor to dishes without a lot of calories, after all it’s mostly parsley. While we usually use Chimichurri as a topping and garnish for protein, the chef suggested tossing grilled veggies in it for charred veggie salad.
It’s great to be able to keep all of your cooking contained to your grill when you’re have a patio party. The episode covered lots of simple DIY updates for your home too, especially if you’re a fan of DIY wall art.
If you’re like me and plan on hitting the beach Saturday mornings and won’t have time to sit down and watch a full episode, be sure to join one of the Home Made Simple twitter parties. In fact there is one tomorrow 8-9 PM EST.
Home Made Simple is my new Saturday morning routine and design destination! Be sure to tune in on Saturday mornings at 9am/8c, only on OWN.
