This may come as no surprise, but I love anything minty and chocolaty. Do you remember my spiked peppermint mocha recipe? Well, the fun couldn’t stop there! I attended my first Christmas party this past weekend and knew this little concoction would be perfect. I’ve made chocolate and candy barks before, but hadn’t really worked with adding flavors to the chocolate. I’m very pleased with how this turned out and am anxious to come up with another fancy combination.

What you’ll need:
Ingredients
- Melting Chocolate
- 5 regular size candy canes
- 1 packet of via - the starbucks instant coffee.
- parchment paper
Instructions
- Using a double boiler melt your chocolate. Make sure you are close by and stirring, as it is super easy to burn chocolate.
- Once chocolate has melted, remove from heat and add coffee. I chose the starbucks instant coffee because it is super fine and has great flavor.
- Stir in coffee until dissolved.
- Crush peppermints.
- Stir in half of crushed peppermints. Keep the remaining half for topping.
- On a flat surface, lay large piece of parchment paper. Pour chocolate onto parchment paper and spread evenly. Let chocolate cool and then break into bit size pieces.
