We’re SO excited to be launching a new blog series; ‘Put On Your Party Dress’! We’ve enlisted stylist extraordinaire Leah, from Leah Lou to help you gals pick out the perfect party ready piece so that you’re hosting with style and ease.

With a fun cookie exchange part in mind we asked Leah to show us what she’d wear, how she’d wear it and why!

As our holiday schedules fill and party invitations stack up, it’s important to keep time spent getting party ready as effortless as possible. Nothing is as easy yet elegant as a flowy dress.

Look for a dress that has:

A deep, rich hue  – Jewel-tone colors look amazing on ANY skin-tone, allow accessories to pop, and elevate a look from simple to chic, no matter the occasion.

Great lines – The dress should be cut well; Seems fall in line with your shoulders, waist, and hips.

Shows off a part of your body that you love and are comfortable with – If you love your arms, go sleeveless. If it’s your legs, rock a fun length or a tasteful slit. Your confidence will shine through!

Has a waist but isn’t completely fitted – *Bonus tip: If there isn’t a waist, then create one with a belt, ribbon, or fun sash. The flow of the fabric creates movement while leaving plenty of room for more holiday cookies!
