Ever wish you could make those perfectly decorated sugar cookies? Christmas cookies, I’m looking at you. Well, we’ve figured out how to make the perfect decorated icing for sugar cookies. This is a recipe and tool to put in the back pocket for when it times come to participate in all of those holiday cookie swaps. We’ve partnered with Silk to bring you this recipe!
The Perfect Sugar Cookie Icing
Ingredients:
Powdered Sugar
Corn Syrup
Orange Extract
Food Coloring
Squeeze bottles – not a food, but necessary for decorating cookies!
Instructions:
In a bow combine 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons light corn syrup, 1 tablespoon Silk, 1/4 teaspoon Orange Extract
Divide evenly into two bowls and add food coloring. Transfer to squeeze bottles.
Draw outline of shape on sugar cookies and allow to harden.
Fill in shape and use toothpick to spread icing, filling cookie.
